Assessing Moose, nose to tail
Derek walks through a horse the way he does before it goes to work, and talks about what he's comparing it all against.
To add: the Facebook link to this video (videos.moose_live in site.config.json).
What he covers
- What he looks at before a horse goes to work
- Legs and feet
- Body and condition
- Behavior and reactions
- How knowing the horse's normal gives you something to compare against
To add: three or four key moments from the Live, with the time they happen in the video.
This Live became a full module. Assess the Horse in Front of You turns Derek's walk-through into an assessment sheet, a pre-work check and a tracker you can use on your own horse.
